Virus-Like Particles (VLPs) are derived from viral capsid proteins and represent small, nanoscale viral particles. However, they do not possess viral infectivity. Using the VLP technology platform, it is possible to showcase membrane proteins with their natural conformation on the surface of these virus-like particles. This capability makes them valuable for applications in immunization and antibody screening.
SanyouBio's Membrane Protein Platform produces full-length VLP proteins for challenging multi-pass transmembrane targets like GPCRs. These proteins are highly pure and active, enabling high-titer antibody production and successful candidate molecule screening, supporting drug development for difficult GPCR and similar targets.
